| Don't Dance too little or too much... Life is poetry and it is dance, but there must be spaces bewteen the notes and the beats. We cannot seperate out selves from our body, mind or spirit. We must dance the balance that makes our life unique. Balance takes place through labor. We need to enhance the intellict, appreicate the lyrical, and laugh into the wind. We find harmaony in exact opposites. Just as the Toa depends on balancing the masculine and the feminine, we must find balbance in our exsistance. It must not be all work. We keep the zest for accomplishmenteach day, but not stay stuck in the impatience of youth. We can't be spared the pains of labor and living. We must stay open to all possibilities. Do not rule out anything. Balance pleasure, power, reason and love. We must absorb everything but be enslaved to none; "any path is only a path." (Carlos Castaneda) We get out of balance when we attempt to make a correction in some area of life becuase we focus on that area and neglect the other parts of our being. We need to rmemeber that life is a process..Just as wee need certian nurtiants to maintain our physcial body, we need certina elements to enrich our mind and spirit. All things are connected in nature and and our energies are in direct proportion to the fuels we feed thoise energies. Like a candle withut oxygen our flame will go out. Do not bleieve the boy is evil and that the holy deny the flesh. Spirit is often enhanced by our physical well-being. It is most difficult to focus on a Higher Power when our stomach needs nurishment. Not every experience will be pleasurable, but we can't remeain in pain. Pain provides us with awareness and we are not permanetly destroyed by pain. Do not over protect yourself or your children from pain. Alow for the safety of expolration. We must experience real challenges and connot not live life second hand. Our expereince prepares us for what lies ahead in the great unknown. . |
